This magazine is meant to be for people who are new dog owners and looking into what it’s like to have a dog, and it can also be meant for people who already have a dog and want to know more about dogs, such as how to teach them tricks and stories of other dog owners. The imagery of the magazine’s cover is a daytime scene with a doghouse and on the back cover is of the same location but at nighttime. I wanted to keep a contrast between the back and the front cover, and I saw this magazine as if they are starting their day by reading this magazine, and once they get to the end, they have more knowledge about dogs at the end of the day. The majority of the imagery in this magazine is illustrations. There are a few sections with actual photography, such as the article about the best parks in Orange County to take your dogs to. In this magazine, you will find articles talking about how to train your dog, the best dog-friendly hiking trails, and the best Halloween costumes to dress your dog in (which this article changes seasonally). Other articles would include stories such as how some humans treat their dogs like human babies.
