Graduation Class of 2022
Logo Design for CSUF
I designed a logo for California State University of Fullerton for Commencement 2022. The design idea was based off the mascot Tuffy the Elephant. Instead of creating Tuffy the way that everyone views him as, I designed him to look like a realistic elephant in a modern art way by making the elephant using geometric shapes.
Association Logo Design for History and Historiography in
Art Education
In my internship, one of our clients was an association for History and Historiography in Art Education. Their purpose is to explore the history and historiography of art education broadly from national, international, and comparative perspectives, and provide historical context for the formation of educational policy. They also strive to express and talk about the inclusiveness in our society. Since they are a new association, they wanted a logo design, and this is what the final logo turned out to be. On the side is my design process.
Logo Design for the
African Wildlife Foundation
I created this African Wildlife Foundation logo along with a short animation for their nonprofit organization. I illustrated an African elephant and placed it on a circle background. I wanted to create an African tribal look by making the logo look like a shield and using a warm color palette of yellows, browns, and reds. I decided to place the logo I made on a t-shirt mockup; if people would like to donate or show support to the African Wildlife Foundation, they could receive a t-shirt showing their support.
Logo Design for
Magic Toys Company
(Company Name I Made)
Magic Toys is a toy company name I created, and the logo I used for packaging I made for a puppet toy. I made the bunny a mascot for Magic Toys; since magicians pull bunnies out of their top hats, I felt it would be cute to make a bunny the mascot for my toy company. The colors I chose for the logo were yellow, red, and blue. I chose these colors because most kids’ television shows tend to use primary colors a lot. Since the brand is geared more towards kids, I wanted to choose bright colors to draw the kids’ attention and stick with the
primary colors.
Business Card Design for
Makayla Fiducia
For these business cards, I made two different designs for my personal use. For my first design, I wanted to make the typography and images stand out by going with a neon lights theme. I got a collection of different colored neon sign images, and I used Illustrator to change the typeface for my name to look like a neon sign by using multiple layers of my name in different shades of green and white to create that neon light effect. The second design I made was a more elegant approach with roses for the images and the background colors are a pastel shade of green and pink. I made the bundle of roses image by taking pictures of multiple different colored roses and then taking them into Adobe Photoshop to crop just the roses out themselves. The software I used to create the bundling effect on both the business card designs was from Processing Source Code. I made a code that allowed me to use my mouse to draw these objects in whatever way I wanted, while the code also randomized each of the different images I imported into the code as I started to draw.
